I was studying at Borders today, putting in my last ditch effort to get everything done by Wednesday. I can't believe that I'm graduating in a week! yikes! Anyhow, that's not the point. I was getting antsy so I went to browse among the $4.99 DVD's. Just to see if there was anything good there. And what do I come across? None other than Kundun. Kundun. I watched this movie with the crew during that one wonderful summer in Berkeley. It was one of many HORRIBLE movies that we watched. I think Allen was the only one who made it through the whole thing. I was asleep, Bev was asleep, Jyip was asleep. All I remember are flashes of red then flashes of gold. And then a scene with the Dalhi Lama and Junior, my dog (b/c lhasa apso's are the guard dogs of the dalhi lama, in case youdidn't know.). It was too artsy. I was bored. It was late. ok, back to writing.

I have a poll. Please input your suggestions. If I choose your suggestion, I will buy you a jamba juice. So, i'm working on the title for my paper. My paper is about a policy that cycled through 4 congressional sessions but was never passed. So the title I have is:

From Idea to Policy: Why Good Ideas Go ______
A Case Study of the Family Opportunity Act

Fill in the blank please. Something along the lines about ideas not being translated into policies despite how good of an idea it is.

Remember. Winner gets free Jamba Juice.

I realize that it's May, and I'm graduating in 3 and a half weeks. I've managed to not tell anyone about it. Haha!

Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Commencement Ceremony
2:00 pm
Myerhoff Symphony Hall
Baltimore, MD

My last day of class is May 20 (14 days left! yeah, baby)
I'll hopefully be moving back to California on June 2 or 3.

So, some shoutouts for all y'all:

My dad: for his immense support and love through a pretty rough year. Thank you for believing in me, pushing me to do more, work harder, and being a great example.

My sister: for keeping it real with me. For walking through times of grief and joy with me. For loving DMB and acoustic guitar.

Jason: patient, faithful, and committed. You are a crazy pillar of strength.

Eva and O: My burrito eating, chocolate cake making roommates. You made the transition to Baltimore easy and so much fun! Here's to many memories including: "Where did the phone go?" the biggest, ugliest bug known to man, chipotle/baja runs on Fridays, and many more.

The QP crew: Thank you quality people for loving on me, eating with me, watching movies with me, making the Great Vacation (and everyother visit home) truly great. I'm coming home, kids!

My girls: for all the love, prayers, sherry cake, and laughter.

The small group gals: I can't believe that I got to meet you all through Allen visiting here. You girls have been a community of love, laughter, wine, smallville, and alias. I will miss all of you...but, elaine, you should really move to California *wink*

Southwest Airlines: for flying me back and forth across the country more times than I can count in 1 year. Thanks for getting me to BWI and SJC with little disruption, except for the one time I was stuck in SJ for an extra day and then several additional hours. But, yes, I heart Southwest.

The 50 pages of writing that stand between me and graduation: You better watch it. I'm coming to get you. DIE, PAPERS, DIE!

ok, i should pay attention while I'm in class.
